"In the Chapel in the Moonlight" is a 1936 popular song written by Billy Hill. The song was revived by Kitty Kallen in 1954. Her recording, which was released by Decca Records as catalog number 29130, reached number four on the Billboard charts[1] and number five on the Cash Box Best Selling Record chart. It has been performed frequently since then by singers including Dean Martin, whose version of the song peaked at number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as spending three weeks atop the easy listening chart in August 1967. The Bachelors also hit the Top 40 with a recorded version of this standard in 1965. It was covered by Johnny Burnette, by the Four Aces in 1955 and by heavy metal band Celtic Frost on their album Into the Pandemonium.
